The Commercial Development Trainee is an entry level sales position responsible for learning and executing a wide variety of activities servicing the Commercial Division of Tyson Foods. The position will work under an experienced manager and go through a rigorous 12 month training program designed to provide candidates with the skills needed to build a successful career in business management and or professional sales.

Your time in the CDT Program will include a variety of hands-on experiences and assignments, each designed to build foundational knowledge and exposure that will prepare you for a successful career in Commercial Sales.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Immersive Rotations such as Sales Strategy & Planning, Commercial Chain Accounts, Convenience Stores, Foodservice Distribution, Retail, Grocery Deli and Category Management focused on development in:

  • Sales & Marketing: Gain foundational selling skills and product knowledge through in-person and virtual training and in-market experiences
  • Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Work on meaningful projects with the various sales teams
  • Data Intelligence: Develop proficiency in data analysis to drive solutions to influence decision makers
  • Interpersonal Relationships: Establish and develop relationships with teammates and leaders across various functions within the organization

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience: 1 plus year of experience preferred or combination of experience and relevant education internships .

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills such as Office 365, Adobe and other digital communication platforms

Data & Analytics Skills: Ability to analyze data in Excel

Special Skills: self-motivated self-starter; strong professional presence; driven; thinking and problem solving skills; priority setting and time management; teamwork skills; creativity and innovation; ability to act assertively and take initiative. Desire to make a difference in both the business and culture; passionate to understand and represent the needs of our customers.

Travel: 12 or more trips per year (more than 50%)

Relocation: Must be willing to relocate to Northwest Arkansas
