The Director Marketing - Brand role is accountable for strategy and execution for one or more brands/segments across Tyson's portfolio.

The Director is a seasoned professional, who will be a key contributor to brand growth plans, and the cross-functional team and brand business leaders will rely on you to master the consumer, brand, and marketplace to deliver meaningful growth. This role will sharpen your leadership, execution, strategic thinking, and creative skills and expose you to industry-leading brands, resources, and colleagues.
Other responsibilities include:
Lead strategy, develop and delivery of business objectives and marketing plans for assigned brand/categories, reflecting overall corporate goals, and execute on plans to deliver against brand, financial and share objectives
Monitor performance measurements to ensure brand is tracking against goals; recommend and implement corrective actions as needed
Analyze data to identify insights and translate into business initiatives and/or actionable tasks to drive results
Lead development and execution of marketing strategies including brand positioning, communication strategies, advertising and consumer promotion initiatives
Direct agency partners as required to ensure effective and efficient translation of marketing strategies into activation plans
Lead development and execution of product line extension and packaging innovation plans including business proposal and approval, concept development, feasibility validation, product and packaging R&D, customer sell in and tracking of in-market performance
Partner with innovation, channels and customer business teams to develop and execute innovation plans including business proposal and approval, concept development, feasibility validation, product and packaging R&D, customer sell in and tracking of in-market performance
Work hand-in-hand with the sales organization to understand and integrate customer strategies in business and brand plans
Manage monthly volume forecast for assigned brand/categories, coordinating between demand and supply planning to deliver best-in-class forecast accuracy
Proactively work with Sales Strategy and Planning partners to ensure forecast accuracy, maximization of opportunities and development of plans to deliver against objectives
Manage brand budget including media, design, and sales sample spending for assigned product responsibility
Create a culture of collaboration and trust across a broad and complex cross-functional team, which includes Consumer Insights, Culinary, R&D, Operations, Finance, Category & Brand Marketing, Revenue Management, Enterprise Strategy, Sales, and Channel Marketing, in addition to Business Unit stakeholders. Act as a role model for working across segment, functions, and teams
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: An MBA or equivalent education/experience is required
Experience: Requires 7 years of relevant marketing experience with demonstrated P&L ownership; CPG industry experience is preferred
Special Skills: Demonstrated strong analytical and strategic thinking skills are required; strong communication and presentation skills are required; strong collaborator with a demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams; proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment is required. Experience with Nielsen and/or IRI is preferred
Supervisory Skills: This position will lead a team.
Travel: Some degree of travel, including customer visits, plant visits, conferences, trade events
Location: This position will be based out of Tyson’s Corporate Headquarters in Springdale, Arkansas. Relocation assistance may be provided for those candidates that meet the Tyson Relocation policy guidelines.
