POSITION SUMMARY
TheatreSquared seeks a part-time Company Management Associate to join our team and provide outstanding hospitality and logistical support to our visiting guest artists. This role is vital in ensuring that each visiting artist’s experience is smooth, professional, and welcoming—from initial travel arrangements to day-to-day needs during their stay.
Reporting to the Artistic Producer and collaborating closely with the Business Office and Production/Facilities teams, this position serves as a key point of contact and care for our guest artists. The ideal candidate will bring warmth, precision, and flexibility to this critical support role, helping foster a culture of hospitality that reflects TheatreSquared’s values of inclusion, access, and community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate all travel, transportation, parking, and local logistics for guest artists, including airport pickups and transit to rehearsals or performances as needed.
- Welcome guest artists upon arrival, provide facility tours, and share essential onboarding information such as grocery access, keys, parking, pay schedules, reimbursements, and house rules.
- Serve as a point of contact for guest artists during off-hours in the rare event of an urgent or unexpected need.
- Maintenance and tracking of hospitality inventory and restocking as needed.
- Receive and distribute guest artist mail and packages.
- Actively demonstrate a commitment to TheatreSquared’s mission and values, including inclusion, equity, and anti-racism.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, in alignment with the department’s evolving needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail and follow-through
- A flexible, team-oriented approach and a consistently positive attitude
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and personalities, and respond calmly under pressure
- A self-motivated and mature outlook, with a deep sense of accountability
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
- A valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Access to reliable transportation
- Availability to work evenings and weekends, as hospitality needs may arise outside standard office hours
Preferred but not required:
- Prior experience in company management, stage management, or artist hospitality
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
This is a permanent, part-time, hourly, non-exempt position, averaging approximately 25 hours per week. The starting rate of pay is $18–$20 per hour, commensurate with experience. Evening and weekend availability is required to accommodate guest artist needs.
