LatinX Theatre Project, Development Manager

Job Summary:

The LXTP Development Manager will support a wide range of activities related to institutional advancement, including development, communication, public relations, and stewardship. The role involves working closely with the LXTP Program Director, TheatreSquared Director of Development, and LXTP Ensemble to support the organization’s mission through strategic fundraising and donor development initiatives. Key tasks include helping to develop fundraising campaigns, securing sponsorship revenue, stewarding donors and sponsors, impact reporting, grant research and writing, and special event planning.

LXTP Development Manager will work to support the LXTP Ensemble as advocates for social change by creating ensemble-made, multi-disciplinary performances that uplift and unite under-represented communities throughout Northwest Arkansas. Additionally, as a positive, collaborative member of an inclusive workforce, this new staff member will help TheatreSquared answer the question, “How can a theatre be an agent of social change—helping foster a community that is fundamentally more equitable?”

Job Duties:

  • Develop and support all aspects of an annual fundraising campaign, including direct mailings, donor acknowledgments, impact reporting, and targeted fundraising events.
  • Expand individual and institutional giving programs through identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors, sponsors, and foundations.
  • Lead and participate in grant application submissions and reporting, maintaining a calendar of grant activities, and researching grant opportunities.
  • Develop and grow a planned giving program focused on deferred gifts.
  • Collaborate with the LXTP Program Director and Engagement Coordinators to create strategic communications and publications supporting fundraising activities, and event invitations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute events, including Spring and Fall fundraisers.
  • Support the Development department's budget, track expenses, and handle departmental financial processes including purchase orders and contracts.
  • Maintain and optimize the donor database (Total Info) to enhance tracking and reporting capabilities for various constituents.
  • Assist marketing efforts for all LXTP performances, workshops, and events.
  • Attend all opening nights and special events.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in fundraising.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management and teamwork, computer skills, and attention to detail.
  • Cultural competence and the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups, with a commitment to advancing anti-racism and anti-oppression principles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in theater administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual, Spanish, Professional Working Proficiency
  • Strong appreciation and understanding of Latinx/e heritage.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This permanent, full-time, exempt position includes an annual salary range of $40,000 - $45,000, commensurate with experience, and full benefits. Knowledge, experience, skill-set and abilities will determine compensation. Full benefits include health; dental; paid time off; paid parental leave; professional development allowance; employer-sponsored long-term and short-term disability; $100,000 in employer-sponsored term life insurance; and voluntary 401(k).
