The Peel Compton Foundation is now hiring for a part time Development Coordinator.
The Development Coordinator will assist the Director of Development by pursuing funding from a variety of sources, participating in fundraising drives, and preparing grant proposals. The Development Coordinator will demonstrate strong administrative and organizational skills, superb attention to detail and deadlines, a strong ability to track and prioritize tasks, and excellent oral and written communication skills. The successful candidate is motivated, energetic, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment as a member of a growing team. The Development Coordinator provides general administrative, project management, systems, and fundraising support for varying aspects of development and fundraising, donor base management, marketing, and donor support.
This is a part time position with a typical schedule will be about 15 - 20 hours a week.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of nonprofit events, including setup, registration, and guest management.
- Provide support during events by addressing attendee needs, managing supplies, and ensuring smooth event operations.
- Perform data-entry tasks related to donor information, event attendance, and
- fundraising efforts, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the donor management system.
- Assist the Development Department with administrative tasks such as preparing thank-you letters, organizing files, and managing office supplies.
- Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and implement new event ideas and fundraising initiatives.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
- Track and manage inventory of event materials, ensuring timely preparation for upcoming events.
- Assist in distribution of event invitations, promotional materials, and follow-up communications.
- Support the Development team in researching potential donors, sponsors, and grant opportunities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising, development, and marketing (past experience preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent analytical abilities that can be applied in aligning the organization’s objectives with available funding opportunities.
Education and Experience:
- At least three years of fundraising experience and nonprofit sector experience highly preferred.
- College degree in business, non-profit studies, and/or related field is preferred.
