Job Title: Elevate Resident Facilitator

Hours: Part-Time M-F 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Must be available June 2, 2025 - July 25, 2025, M-F

(Closed 6/19 and 7/4)

Compensation: Hourly/ $12.00

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Empower each Visionary (student) through a well-rounded experience and inspire a love of lifelong learning

  • Provoke curiosity through new experiences, leading to positive contributions both locally and globally

  • Supervise and interact with Visionaries grades K-5th to provide a safe, wholesome, and rewarding environment

  • Collaborate, develop, and implement lessons that lead Visionaries to achieve weekly learning goals

  • Collaborate, develop and modify activities to meet the physical and social-emotional needs of all Visionaries

  • Interact professionally and appropriately with Visionaries, Facilitators (staff), and families

  • Maintain confidentiality concerning children, parents, and school personnel

  • Refer all parent/general concerns to the Co-Directors of Summer Programming

  • Communicate regularly with the Co-Directors of Summer Programming regarding behaviors, daily operations, concerns, etc.

  • Monitor outdoor and indoor activities with a focus on safety, cooperative play, and fun

  • Build positive relationships with Visionaries, Facilitators and families

  • Attend required meetings and trainings (compensated)

  • Perform health and first aid duties: administer first aid, write incident reports, monitor safety hazards

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Basic lesson planning & collaboration

  • Enjoys working with children

  • Works cooperatively and patiently with children and others

  • Communicates and maintains effective relationships with students, parents, staff, and the community

  • Positive attitude

  • Monitors, observes, and reports student behavior according to policies and procedures

  • Maintains emotional control under stress

Education/Experience:

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Future Educator (encouraged, not required)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (preferred, not required)

  • Child care experience (preferred)

Physical Requirements with or without accommodations:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer or standing to teach.

  • Must be able to lift or move up to 40 pounds at times.

  • Must be able to traverse the classroom and adjust one’s tone and height, by bending, leaning, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling in order to teach each child.

  • Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
