The Hershey Company has an opportunity for a Senior Director Walmart & Sam's Club executive for our growing Salty Snacks business. The Senior Director leads a team to profitably grow Hershey’s salty business across Walmart and Sam’s Club. This position represents the primary interface for Hershey with assigned customers and is accountable for delivering revenue, sales activity margin, and market share targets as an integral part of the Salty strategy. It will directly manage the sales, forecasting, revenue and relationship management and lead a team of Customer Sales Executive (CSEs) to hit sales and growth targets at each customer.

This role requires high customer connectivity and strategic relationship management, as well as holistic management of volume, trade & mix as we deliver total business.

Core Responsibilities & Outcomes:

  • Achieve annual revenue, trade, net sales and OI plan targets
  • Develop relationships and call on senior executives and management at customers
  • Deliver market share leadership within their respective channel across critical segments, securing distribution and merchandising and negotiating sales programs
  • Develop a strategic business plan based on consumer and shopper insights.
  • Develops sales and marketing objectives and strategies to support priority brand positioning, equity and marketplace initiatives, based on the comprehensive understanding of our products, competition, consumer and shopper habits.

Role Scope:

  • Customer management across multiple channels; Ability to manage operational elements to deliver now and next results
  • Leads a direct and in-direct team to achieve the goals for this customer by motivating them to maximize the sales of our products
  • Oversees development of the customer’s annual business plan, enhances brand equity and profitably grows market share through in-depth consumer and shopper understanding
  • P&L Ownership (Creating and executing a customer/channel strategy)
  • Sales Planning experience putting data & insights into action

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 10-15 years experience in multiple sales leadership roles; Salty experience a plus
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement comprehensive business strategies.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams.
  • P&L Management Proficiency in financial analysis, market research, and data-driven decision-making.
