Description
The Director of Walmart is responsible for strategically leading a portfolio of client business and overseeing a cross-functional team that includes Account Directors, National Account Managers, Sales Insight Managers and Replenishment Managers. This role guides the development and execution of client strategies designed to drive sustainable growth with Walmart.
As the leader of a Harvest subteam, the Director fosters a strong team culture while coaching and developing talent to ensure effective execution of client strategies and consistent business results.
Directors maintain a deep understanding of Walmart’s priorities and the Harvest business model, helping teams align client strategies with Walmart’s category objectives and broader retail initiatives to support profitable growth for both the client and the customer.
Our approach to client service is grounded in our values. To deliver exceptional excellence for our clients with Walmart, we do require that this role is based in Rogers, AR. If you are applying but do not currently reside in Northwest Arkansas, please note that relocation will not be covered by Harvest Group.
Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership for client businesses at Walmart, helping shape long-term growth strategies that align with Walmart’s evolving priorities and delivers sustainable results for clients.
  • Partner with client leaders and internal teams to identify growth opportunities, address business challenges, and guide the development of strategies that strengthen performance with Walmart.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to sub team providing direction and guidance that ensures client strategies are well-positioned for success within Walmart’s retail environment.
  • Foster strong collaboration across internal cross-functional teams to align on priorities, share insights, and support effective execution of client strategies.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Walmart’s business model, merchandising approach, and competitive landscape to inform strategic recommendations for clients.
  • Support the development and growth of team members by providing coaching, feedback, and leadership that strengthens overall team capability.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with clients and internal stakeholders, helping align teams around business priorities and opportunities.
  • Help teams navigate changes within the retail environment by identifying emerging trends, new opportunities, and shifts in Walmart’s strategy.
Requirements
  • At least 10+ years of consumer packaged goods experience working on a Walmart and/or Sam’s Club account
  • At least 5+ years of people management experience
  • Experience creatively and proactively solving problems as an individual and team leader
  • Radical curiosity of retail and the constant changing marketplace
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ownership mindset with track record of driving exceptional growth
  • Mastery in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
