This role leads the design and execution of site-based capital projects and manufacturing improvement initiatives. The Staff Engineer serves as a subject-matter expert on cross-functional teams and works effectively with general management guidance.
In this role, you will:
Support Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations organizations within the entire facility
Participate in and share information on technical seminars for Maintenance and Operations in order to stay up to date on current trends, changes, and technological advancements
Hone personal skills and train teams (Engineering, Maintenance, and Operational) on new techniques, etc.
Key advocate for Engineering innovation at the manufacturing site
Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the site's safety performance by supporting site safety programs and initiatives
Enable continuous improvement of the site's manufacturing performances.
Support environmental sustainability goal achievement
Proactively identify and solve packaging, process, and plant utility system problems by using plant, company, and external resources
Lead cost savings initiatives across the site and help to reduce plant spending
Provides solid input and insight to the team on business and engineering needs and proposals
Support and drive regulatory compliance
Manage projects in accordance with Clorox Project Management Standards to achieve required results, timing, and budgetary targets
This is a plant based position and will spend 70% of the time operating on the production floor.
What we look for:
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution
2+ years in Plant Engineering/Operations
Position will require the candidate to be in manufacturing environment with rotating equipment, elevated surfaces, temperature variations etc.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
–Zone A: $72,400 - $132,500
–Zone B: $66,400 - $121,500
–Zone C: $60,300 - $110,400

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
