Your role at Clorox:

As the Category Advisor Associate Director r you oversee the category management function for multiple retailers, and will spearhead the development of future omnichannel category management capabilities for the team within a culture that cultivates inclusion and diversity. This role is a trusted partner to internal partners and key retail merchant leaders, and enables unbiased, shopper-led, category growth strategies and recommendations. This role leads multiple category advisory teams.

In this role, you will:

  • Leads and develops a team of advisors who are responsible for providing strategic and tactical category recommendations to retail partners.
  • Champions data-driven, actionable insights to enable a frictionless omnichannel shopper experience.
  • Enables strong, data-driven internal decision making to drive category growth with key retail partners.
  • Develops trusted relationships with cross functional leaders, grounded in a commitment to deliver unbiased category growth opportunities.
  • Develops business routines and provides clear expectations to the team regarding category-leading capabilities and deliverables.
  • Builds a culture engagement and accountability while keeping an external pulse on industry developments and mega trends in retail.
  • Advocates for resources and technology necessary to provide leading category capabilities.
  • Partners internally with data capabilities, category leadership accelerator, shopper insights, eCom teams.

What we look for:

  • 10+ years’ experience in category management, data analytics or a sales role

  • Strong thought leadership and ability to think strategically

  • Experienced leading direct and cross-functional teams

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent problem solving & analytical ability

  • Comfort with ambiguity and translating data to insights

  • Technical Skills: PowerBI, AI tools, Circana expertise

  • High degree of self-motivation and discipline

  • Exceptional communication skills (both written & verbal)

  • Ability to work independently with enterprise mindset and develop a relationships with key stakeholders

Workplace type:

The Category Advisor Associate Director will be able to sit out of the any of the Clorox Hub locations and reporting into an office 3x per week. Open to remote qualified candidates.

We use broad salary ranges that reflect the competitive market for similar jobs, provide sufficient opportunity for growth as you gain experience and expand responsibilities, while also allowing for differentiation based on performance. Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $153,700 - $309,000

–Zone B: $140,900 - $283,300

–Zone C: $128,100 - $257,500

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
