A group of growing tech startups is seeking Business Development Interns to support customer discovery, sales outreach, market research, and partnership development. Interns will be matched with a startup based on their interests, skills, and the company’s current business needs.
This is a hands-on opportunity to work directly with startup founders and small teams, gaining exposure to how early-stage companies identify customers, test markets, build relationships, and grow revenue.
What You’ll Do
Responsibilities may vary by startup placement, but could include:

Research prospective customers, partners, industries, and market opportunities.

Help build and organize lead lists and customer outreach pipelines.

Support outreach efforts through email, LinkedIn, phone calls, and events.

Assist with scheduling and preparing for customer or partner meetings.

Track outreach, conversations, and follow-up activity in a CRM or internal system.

Conduct competitor and market research to help inform business strategy.

Help prepare sales materials, presentations, proposals, or partnership briefs.

Support founder-led sales efforts and learn how startups turn conversations into opportunities.

Attend relevant networking events, customer calls, or ecosystem meetings as appropriate.

Assist with special projects based on the startup’s growth priorities.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for curious, proactive students or early-career professionals who are excited to learn how technology companies grow. Strong candidates will be comfortable communicating with new people, staying organized, and working in a fast-moving environment.
Preferred qualifications:

Interest in startups, technology, sales, entrepreneurship, marketing, or business strategy.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Comfortable conducting research and organizing information clearly.

Self-starter who can take initiative and follow through on tasks.

Professional, dependable, and open to feedback.

Experience with spreadsheets, presentations, CRM tools, LinkedIn, or outreach platforms is a plus, but not required.

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in business, marketing, communications, entrepreneurship, economics, technology, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
