Position Title: Head Strength and Performance Coach
Location: District
Qualifications: Hold, or be able to obtain, a valid Arkansas Teaching certificate. Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education, or related field preferred. Current certification from a nationally accredited organization (e.g., CSCS, CSCCa, USAW, or equivalent) preferred.
Terms of Employment: 240 Days with benefits according to Siloam Springs School Board policies
Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of staff.
Reports To: Athletic Director
Essential Coaching Functions:
- Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive strength and conditioning program for all athletic programs (7-12) within the district.
- Design age-appropriate training programs focused on strength, speed, agility, endurance, mobility, and injury prevention.
- Instruct student-athletes in proper lifting techniques, conditioning methods, and safe use of equipment.
- Supervise and lead all strength and conditioning activities before, during, and after school, including summer programs.
- Collaborate with head coaches to align strength programs with sport-specific goals and seasonal training cycles.
- Monitor student-athlete progress through performance testing and data tracking.
- Promote a culture of discipline, accountability, work ethic, and sportsmanship among student-athletes.
- Ensure compliance with Arkansas Activities Association (AAA) rules, district policies, and state regulations.
- Maintain and inventory weight room equipment; ensure proper maintenance and safety of all facilities.
- Develop and implement injury prevention protocols in coordination with athletic trainers and medical personnel.
- Communicate effectively with coaches, parents, administrators, and student-athletes.
- Provide guidance on nutrition, recovery, and overall wellness consistent with district policies.
- Attend required meetings, professional development, and in-service activities to maintain professional competence.
- Assist in the supervision of athletic events and other duties as assigned by district administration.
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.

- Attend meetings and perform duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors.
