Job Title: Loan Support Assistant

Reports to: EVP – Credit Administration Officer

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary:

The Loan Support Assistant position works closely with the Credit Administration team on various responsibilities as well as supporting Loan Review/Risk Management functions on duties as determined. This individual will also assist with handling construction loan inspections.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Exhibit a sense of urgency to provide the finest of customer service at all times and in all forms of verbal and written communications.
  • Assist the Appraisal Review Specialist with various duties to include researching MLS or CoStar for comparable sales, assisting in the preparation of the evaluations, and tracking of appraisals.
  • Assist the Credit Analyst with data input and other selected duties.
  • Perform construction loan inspections; take photos of property, as needed.
  • Provide assistance to Loan Review/Risk Management with various duties, as requested.
  • Assist with the preparation of various reports, including Board reports.
  • Place signs on construction sites, as needed.
  • Perform all other tasks requested as they relate to the Bank and its functions.

All Team Members shall be responsible for communicating upward, problems in operations, noncompliance with the code of conduct, or other policy violations or illegal actions. Team Members must participate in required training on pertinent compliance laws and regulations as required by Signature Bank of Arkansas.

All Team Members will be committed to maintaining a high level of compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti Money Laundering, USA PATRIOT Act and Financial Recordkeeping regulations recognizing that all three acts are important tools in federal efforts to combat organized crime, terrorism and drug trafficking.

Qualifications

Education / Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree required; college degree preferred
  • Previous banking experience beneficial.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively communicate courteously and professionally in English (both written and oral) before groups of customers, team members, and management of the Bank.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to utilize all necessary software applications including Excel and all other software applications utilized by the department.
  • Strong listening skills.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills to effectively relate to all levels of the Bank staff.
  • Sound reasoning and judgment skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and work well in a team environment.
