Job Title: Loan Operations Specialist

Reports to: Loan Operations Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Hourly

Job Summary:

The position of Loan Operations Specialist is responsible for a wide range of operational functions and is multi-faceted with critical time schedules. This position will work within a small team environment to assist with the maintenance of loan files. Completion of all assigned duties both accurately and proficiently are essential for this position.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Exhibit a sense of urgency to provide the finest of customer service at all times and in all forms of verbal and written communications.
  • May be required to effectively handle any assigned duties including but not limited to the following:
  • Scan/Edit/Upload new loans and renewals
  • Assign technical exceptions on new loans and renewals
  • Remove technical exceptions, CIPs, denials, and withdrawn loans
  • Maintenance of loans including renewals, modifications, and extensions
  • Assist customers and Team Members regarding loan inquiries and research
  • Process and maintain participations
  • Setup auto-transfers
  • E-Oscar reporting
  • Order coupon books and review invoices
  • Assist with unposted transactions, payment postings, and printing of billing notices
  • Miscellaneous filing
  • Perform all other tasks requested as they relate to the Bank and its functions

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Compliance:
All Team Members are accountable for compliance with all laws, regulations and adherence to established internal controls and procedures when performing their job duties. Each Team Member is expected to be familiar with the legal and regulatory requirements and internal controls affecting his or her job responsibilities. It is the affirmative duty of each Team Member to carry out these responsibilities at all times in a manner that complies with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and internal controls. All Team Members shall be responsible for communicating upward, problems in operations, noncompliance with the code of conduct, or other policy violations or illegal actions. Team Members must participate in required training on pertinent compliance laws and regulations as required by Signature Bank of Arkansas.
All Team Members will be committed to maintaining a high level of compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti Money Laundering, USA PATRIOT Act and Financial Recordkeeping regulations recognizing that all three acts are important tools in federal efforts to combat organized crime, terrorism and drug trafficking.
Education / Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree required
  • Minimum of 1 year loan operations experience with previous loan processing experience preferred

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively communicate courteously and professionally in English (both written and oral)
  • Must be able to satisfactorily perform all duties and responsibilities listed above within a reasonable time frame
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good interpersonal communication skills to effectively relate to all levels of the Bank staff
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Strong computer skills with ability to utilize all necessary software applications and accurately enter data
