Classification:

Type: Full time, non-exempt position

Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week with occasional evenings, weekends, events, and holidays

Minimum Hourly Start Rate: $17.50 an hour

Scott Family Amazeum Overview

The Scott Family Amazeum is a hands-on, interactive museum in Northwest Arkansas that creates a fun environment where risk taking, imagining, problem solving, discovery and exploration bring children and adults together to play, learn and grow.

The Amazeum mission: To engage the imagination of families, children and adults through interactive exhibits, programs and resources while creating an excitement for life-long learning and enrichment of lives.

Through experiences at the Amazeum, individuals and the community are engaged in building relationships and developing identities as creative, curious, and innovative shapers for the region. Learning at the Amazeum is an active, playful exploration that inspires curiosity, is rooted in inquiry-based discovery, involves an element of risk, and centered on hands-on activities that allow guests to exercise critical thinking.

The Amazeum facility included approximately 50,000 square feet of indoor space and one acre of outdoor exhibition and activity space. The museum is located at the intersection of Museum Way and J Street in Bentonville, AR.

Position Summary
The Scott Family Amazeum is seeking an energetic and curious individual for
a full-time position within our marketing team. A successful candidate will be a self-starter who
knows how to take initiative, assess opportunities, and collaborate and work effectively with
diverse personalities in a team-centered, rapidly changing environment. Project management,
organizational, and self-regulatory skills are vital.
Under the supervision of the Sr. Marketing and Communications Manager, the Content and
Web Creation Coordinator will develop and produce strategic media through omni-media
content creation and design. The Content and Web Creation Coordinator will assist in
creating multiple creative projects across various departments. The Content and Web Creation
Coordinator will also support the development and communications department objectives and
initiatives.
Responsibilities will include photography and videography, and related editing, website
administration and website content, and capturing special moments using digital media at the
Amazeum and in the community at off-site events.
Willingness to learn new skills and keep up with changing technology is a must. The Content
Creation Coordinator works closely with the Sr. Marketing and Communications Manager,
Director of Development and Communications, Production Artist, Digital Media and Marketing
Coordinator, and front-line guest service and education team members. The Content Creation
Coordinator will often work with outside organizations, creatives, and content developers.

Essential Functions:

  • Content creation and management for social media, marketing collateral, advertisements, etc
  • Photography
  • Videography
  • Website administration
  • Administrative duties

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Arts, Design, Marketing, Photography, Multimedia Production,
  • Web Communication, or 2-3 years in a related field may be substituted

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Strong videography and photography skills
  • Strong video editing and photo editing skills
  • Knowledge of HTML and content management systems
  • Ability to help craft and adhere to branding guidelines
  • Experience with website design and CMS software
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and graphic design

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to move 20 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 40 pounds
  • May be required to kneel, squat, or stand for extended periods of time to capture pictures and video
  • Ability to travel to and from work sites
