What You'll Do

The Marketing & Communications Manager will lead internal and external communication efforts. The position is instrumental in crafting effective external communication strategies to drive membership, food & drink, and wellness sales, and generate general interest in our brand. The position will lead internal communication to keep our Members informed and engaged within the BlakeSt community. The Marketing & Communications Manager will analyze data to better understand various audience segments and develop appropriate communication plans for each.

Pay: Commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate current market trends and needs to establish marketing initiatives that promote sales.
  • Work with the Director of Membership to create audience segments in the CRM platform. Craft appropriate messaging directly to those segments.
  • Conduct monthly ad and marketing analytics reports to determine where people are visiting from, what pages they are visiting, identify our audience, and strategize how to reach them.
  • In collaboration with the Director of Membership, create and manage supporting frameworks for membership strategy initiatives.
  • Compose and analyze internal communications for Members, and ensure that messages, whether negative or positive, are communicated in the most effective way possible.
  • Attend Member events and speak with Team members and Department Directors to collect story ideas, event details and updates for Members.
  • Write and publish editorial articles, referred to internally as “Stories from Our Community”, and publish accordingly in the relevant platforms.
  • Plan social media strategy to reach new audiences. Use social media ads to target new Members.
  • Strategize on community engagement and outreach opportunities, and attend industry events to ensure that BlakeSt is represented to drive sales.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of the BlakeSt brand, and any sub-brands, to ensure they are always represented as the leaders in the market.
  • Assist the operations team in the development of sub-brands and graphics for concepts such as the annual backyard transformations and pop-up bars.
  • Connect with event presenters, artists, etc. for details on monthly events to ensure accuracy in copy.
  • Write monthly event copy, design posters and flyers, and design and send weekly and monthly newsletters.
  • Strategize marketing initiatives in collaboration with department heads to drive revenue in all departments, including Food & Beverage and Wellness.
  • Coordinate photo shoots for social media, event promotion, and website.
  • Conduct regular website updates.
  • Recruit ambassadors to introduce new audiences to BlakeSt. Give ambassadors direction and keep them accountable for content production.
  • Plays an active role in day-to-day management of House operations.
  • Self-manage. Follow attendance policy, clock in/out appropriately, adhere to dress code, be proactive in accomplishing duties, and adhere to Company policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Director of Membership.

  • Must be able to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.
