The District Scholarship Coordinator coordinates community efforts to grant post-secondary scholarships to deserving students.

  • Recruits and works to retain donors.
  • Coordinates fundraising for the maintenance and growth of scholarship funds.
  • Manages the donor database.
  • Participates with the building-level coordinators in informational meetings with seniors at each high school.
  • Serves as liaison between community donors and each high school’s building-level coordinator to distribute information regarding available scholarships.
  • Works with building-level coordinators to facilitate scholarship selection committees for donors.
  • Serves as liaison between donors and building-level coordinators to track past recipients and ensure follow-through of recipients in meeting requirements.
  • Coordinates the scholarship application process/deadline to ensure equity and fairness between the two high schools and students enrolled in alternative settings.
  • Works collaboratively with the district Director of Communications to promote and publicize the community scholarship program.
  • Facilitates the training of building-level coordinators and assists them when needed.
  • Makes presentations to community and civic organizations when asked.
  • Serves as liaison to the Chamber of Commerce for fund management.

Bachelor’s degree preferred; expertise in planning and implementing; proficiency with current technology for

performance of duties.

192 day contract.
