Paragon Architecture
Have you had a long career in administration or facilities management in Higher Education? Or maybe your career as an architectural designer, contractor, or project manager has instilled a love for educational spaces and cultivated a desire to turn blueprints into thriving partnerships. Is building a strong network of contacts and clients a challenge you’re ready to take on? Do you have a knack for finding new opportunities and closing deals? If you see business development on the horizon of your career path, we encourage you to read on.

You should possess a broad understanding of specialized topics with in-depth expertise in several of these key areas: Master Planning, Residence Life, Athletic Facilities, Libraries, Building Envelope, Safety and Security, and Sustainability.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with firm leadership to develop and execute business development strategies aligned with our long-term goals. Establish annual market sector targets based on tracked revenue within the sector.
- Lead Generation: Develop a strong network of clients and colleagues within the market sector, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through networking, industry events, and targeted outreach. Keep the Business Development Dashboard updated with client info and outreach efforts.
- Client Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing clients, ensuring exceptional service and identifying opportunities for additional projects. Attend site visits, and targeted conferences, tradeshows, and special events.
- Proposal Development: Work closely with Marketing and Business Development teams to review and participate in developing compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches. Assist in developing marketing materials specific to the market in question (email campaigns, print brochures, etc.)
- Market Research: Pursue continuing education efforts to support specialization and knowledge leadership within the market sector, staying informed about industry trends, challenges, opportunities, competitor activities, and potential clients.
- Financial Analysis: Assess risks, analyze financial data, and contribute to pricing strategies. Track performance of targets and adjust based on overall financial goals of the firm.

WHO WE ARE
Paragon Architecture is an architecture and interior design firm built on the foundation of FAMILY, RELATIONSHIPS, COMMUNITY, INTEGRITY, and SERVICE. We strive to make a positive impact in our communities on and off the clock. With nearly 15 years since Paragon got our start, we’ve built a reputation for having a service inclination, generating repeat clients, delivering effective design solutions, and cultivating one of the best companies and teams to work for in the region.
HOW WE WORK
We value the premise that each project is unique and driven by client goals, design opportunities, and unique challenges. Design teams work in a lively and interactive environment with access to modern technology and software programs. Creative design solutions start and end with the project teams, and you aren’t just asked to carry out the vision of a principal who is looming over your shoulder – that sounds awful. We rely on design charettes in our process to promote participation at all levels of the firm while bringing multiple ideas and perspectives to the table.
WHERE WE CALL HOME
We have offices in Springfield, Joplin, and St. Louis, Missouri, and Fayetteville, Arkansas, with our headquarters in downtown Springfield, MO. Our offices are purposely not in the suburban office park, but in the vibrant walkable downtown environments – we believe it’s another place where we can impact our communities for the better. Paragon Architecture has continued to grow since its inception in 2010, and our reach continues to increase year after year. Our four locations afford us the opportunity to provide architectural services to an array of clients throughout the entire state of Missouri, as well as Northwest Arkansas and other neighboring states.
ABOUT OUR BENEFITS
Paragon Architecture places emphasis on professional growth and supports learning through continuing education opportunities. Health, dental, vision and supplemental benefits are offered for eligible full-time employees as well as a 401k plan, paid holidays, and a generous PTO policy. We can also relate to needing some time to reset (after the holidays, especially), so our offices are closed from Christmas to New Year’s Day. Paragon has a distinctive sabbatical program, as well as health and wellness challenges and incentives that are unique to Paragon. Informal learning opportunities are combined with social time at weekly virtual gatherings, monthly celebrations, and seasonal events that provide time for folks to get to know each other better outside of their work on projects.
Paragon Architecture is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
