The position will require working in our Bentonville, AR home office in a collaborative team atmosphere. Building external sales representatives and customer relationships, suggestive consultative selling, assisting with providing customer-centric solutions, and a positive approach are essential to the success of this role.
The perfect candidate has an outgoing personality and the ability to build rapport through verbal and written communication as well as influence customer’s decision to buy. They are an experienced professional with a proven ability to be organized, focused and highly self-motivated while building relationship and collaborating with others by contacting customers, executing business strategy, and contributing collectively toward sales goals. Promotional products industry experience is preferred in either a supplier, distributor, or decorator role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrates a robust knowledge of Outdoor Cap’s brands, products and systems with the ability to communicate Outdoor Cap’s value proposition though email, phone, online meeting & shows.
- Responsible for opening new accounts and further growing existing accounts by delivering focused and sales specific, daily phone calls.
- Collaborates and fosters teamwork with multi-line reps, account leads, product development, designers and operations support to drive sales with existing and new accounts.
- Demonstrates professionalism, integrity and transparency in communications and business dealings with customers and fellow teammates to establish trust.
- Handles and communicates with various types of distributors and decorators while offering creative and viable solutions to their needs that in turn grow sales.

- Ability to understand, track, report and communicate network sales performance to team members and management

Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or institution in Business, Marketing or related field, or combination of relevant education and experience, preferred.
- Experience in high-volume outbound calling with a concentration in relationship-based sales.
- 2-3 years promotional sales background a plus with cursory understanding of the industry, the marketplace, the competition, and an understanding of our customer’s needs.
- Advanced level technical abilities including computer experience in Microsoft Office programs (especially PowerPoint, Excel). Experience with Office365 a plus (OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook).
- Experience operating in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms is preferred.
Physical/Mental Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position (seated) 80% of the day and occasionally reach, bend and move inside the office to access files and product.
- Required to have close visual acuity to perform computer tasks and operate other office machinery.
- The person in this position frequently communicates with internal and external customers and must be able to exchange accurate information in a clear manner.
- Ability to move 10-20 lbs. occasionally throughout day.
- Periodically lifting of up to 40lbs in tradeshow or sales call environment.
- Able to hear a telephone ring.
- Potential for some domestic travel <10%
