As an essential player you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of our products. You will be responsible for the Production Scheduling and the Production Prestage Teams. You will be working directly with the Customer Service Representatives to process and schedule production orders.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the production scheduling and the pre-stage teams.
  • Balance Production Capacity across multiple locations to control costs.
  • Create production orders and rework orders. Manage quality issues.
  • Own/Lead the weekly production meeting with promo, team, retail sales team leadership.
  • Proven analytical skills. Create reports, analyze results. We need a critical thinker who can look at data and decide if we have a production issue, a data issue, or a process issue. Be able to explain KPI improvement and regression.
  • Be a liaison between customer support and manufacturing. Manage Rush orders allowing disruptions in the production schedule as necessary to meet customer needs without missing ship dates. Communicate quality issues on production requests (accounting holds, ship via missing, mixed information on quantity or hat style, other order entry discrepancies). Proactively communicate production capacity changes due to scheduled downtime (maintenance, holidays, forecasted weather disruptions, company events).
  • Create and Update SOPs for your team as needed.
  • Process Improvement: we’re looking for a tenacious problem solver with the ability to identify gaps in a process and propose solutions.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline or High School Diploma Plus equivalent work experience preferably in manufacturing.
  • Experience with MRP systems, materials management, production control, continuous improvement, logistics management, warehouse operations, and data analytics.
  • MS Office applications (especially Excel and Outlook).
  • Preference given to bilingual candidates, but not required.

Physical Requirements

  • Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)
  • Able to hear and effectively communicate with peers.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position (seated) 80% of the day and occasionally reach, bend, and move inside the office to access files and product.
  • Required to have close visual acuity to perform computer tasks and operate other office machinery.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with internal and external customers and must be able to exchange accurate information in a clear manner.
  • Ability to move 10-20 lbs. occasionally throughout day.
  • Able to hear a telephone ring.
