To complete accurate and timely verification of insurance authorization requirements,
submit and obtain authorization for services that require, as well as assist with benefit
verification when needed. To coordinate information to the facility scheduling teams to
ensure patients are scheduled for services upon completion of authorization approval.
Notify providers when authorization is denied or unable to be obtained.
Prior Healthcare Revenue Cycle Experience preferred, but not required.
Prior Patient Access (Registration) Experience preferred, but not required.
Prior Authorization Experience preferred, but not required.
*Clinical background is a plus.
Familiar with basic health insurance concepts preferred, but not required.
Familiar with government health insurance payers preferred, but not required.
Ability to learn complex information quickly and relay information in a manner
understood by a lay person.
Ability to multitask within multiple computer systems and/or perform multiple tasks, such
as maneuvering through computer software while on the phone, relaying or receiving
information.
Self-starter, who can work independently without minimal supervision and is
performance driven.
Can navigate policies, processes, and apply to situations appropriately. .
Can manage high volume workload and experience with meeting fluctuating deadlines.
Team orientated with a positive attitude and brings value to a team.
