Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Draws and collects blood samples from patients, verifies records and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • May conduct interviews, take vital signs, and draw and test blood samples to screen donors at blood bank.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Works under immediate supervision.
  • Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Key qualifications to be considered for this include:

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and certification by a nationally recognized body. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
