Do you enjoy the fast paced environment of the Emergency Department? Do you have experience as an EMT or Paramedic providing efficient, competent care in emergency situations? If so, we would love to have you join our team as a Paramedic here at Northwest Health.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Quickly responding to emergency situations to provide competent care
  • Administering first aid treatment or life support to care to sick or injured persons
  • Operating equipment, such as EKGs, external defibrillators, bag valve mask resuscitators, in advanced life support environments
  • Performing emergency diagnostic and treatment procedures, such as stomach suction, airway management, or heart monitoring
  • Observing, recording, and reporting to physician the patient’s condition or injury, the treatment provided, and the reactions to drugs or treatment
  • Assessing the nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures
  • Assisting RNs and Physicians in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process, diagnosis, planning implementation and evaluation

Key qualifications to be considered for this include:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • National EMT registration
  • State EMS authority registration
  • 2 to 4 years of EMT or paramedic experience preferred
  • Current AHA BLS, ACLS and PALS or can be obtained within 90 days of employment
