The ideal candidate for this position is sold out to the mission of promoting trails, cycling, and the trades, and is excited to achieve the primary goal of increasing awareness of the C-TEC programs and subsequently helping increase enrollment in all programs by at least 10% every year. This position will report to the Executive Director of the Trails Trade School and construction technology division, but will also work closely with the program directors and others in each area. This position will also meet bi-weekly with NWACC’s marketing department. 50% of this position will be marketing, and 50% of the position will be outreach. The ideal candidate for this position has experience creating social media, graphics, photo, video, and copy in an entrepreneurial or sales setting and is now excited to turn those gifts into recruitment focused branding for cycling, trails, and construction technician community college programming. This position will assume leadership for all marketing efforts in the division and will be the point of contact for all outreach activities. This position will require some evening and weekend events. This innovative thought leader will be adept at evaluating the needs of the consumer market, and will understand how and where to acquire knowledge about consumer trends and will execute marketing strategies to support cycling and technician education efforts, including credit and non-credit programming. Manage and grow Trails and Trades social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms
Create platform-appropriate, shareable content (graphics, photo, video, and copy) that elevates brand awareness and supports enrollment goals
Amplify partner and industry voices by resharing content, building relationships, and expanding community contacts
Monitor and engage in relevant conversations within the cycling, trails, and trades communities to nurture leads and support students/customers
Plan, execute, and optimize social promotions and campaigns; track performance and adjust strategy based on results
Collaborate with NWACC marketing and content teams to distribute educational and engaging content aligned to marketing objectives
Drive consistent traffic and qualified leads from social channels to support recruitment and program sustainability
Represent Trails and Trades at recruitment events, conferences, and professional gatherings to promote programs (including occasional evenings/weekends and travel)
Lead media and outreach efforts by pitching stories, coordinating tours, supporting event logistics/collateral, supervising social media interns, and reporting social/outreach results and ROI
Additional duties may be assigned as necessary to support the goals and objectives of the department and college
Rate of Pay: $22.19 hourly *Higher compensation may be considered based on qualifications directly related to position.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent experience and training
2 years of experience in marketing, social media management, or outreach, ideally in a recruitment, entrepreneurial, or sales-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with cycling, trails, or trade programs is a plus
Experience working in a grant-funded position or program would be beneficial
Experience assisting in or leading event planning, including outreach and recruitment events
Familiarity with tracking and measuring social media performance, using tools like Google Analytics to evaluate marketing ROI
Other job-related education and/or experience may replace some or all of these basic qualifications, excluding certification or licensure requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of core digital marketing channels, including SEO, social media, content, email, and paid search (PPC/SEM)
- Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate marketing strategies using performance data and analytics
- Familiarity with project management methods/tools (e.g., Asana) and collaborating to use CRM and payment portal systems
- Create, edit, and organize engaging photo/video and written content using cameras, editing tools, Adobe, and modern office suite software
- Use marketing measurement and market research tools to analyze performance data and make actionable recommendations
- Strong social presence and brand advocacy skills; communicates effectively in writing and speaking to build professional relationships
- Strong organization, prioritization, and time-management skills with attention to detail
- Self-motivated, versatile, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to learn new technologies and stay current on marketing trends and platform/algorithm updates
- Collaborative team member who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Creative problem-solver with sound judgment and initiative
- Enthusiasm for NWACC and its programs, with a student-centered approach and ability to meet students where they are
