The CNA adjunct instructor will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the CNA program, ensuring they acquire the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the healthcare field. This role includes classroom instruction, hands-on lab training, and possible clinical supervision in compliance with state and program standards.Essential Duties
- Assist in development and delivery of engaging course materials aligned with program objectives and regulatory guidelines
- Provide hands-on instruction in lab and clinical settings to enhance student learning
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, skills check-offs, and exams
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance
- Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages student success
- Stay updated on industry standards, certifications, and best practices
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience in a long term care facility. Pending approval by the Office of Long Term Care, other experience may be approved, such as home health care experience

Required License
- Unencumbered Arkansas Nursing License. Either Practical or Registered
Rate of Pay
Level 1 (Cert./Licensure in Discipline) =$32.00/hr.
Level 2 (Licensure + AAS Degree) =$35.00/hr.
Level 3 (Bachelor's Degree) = $39/hr.
Level 4 (Master's Degree) = $42/hr.
Level 5 (Doctorate Degree) = $45/hr.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Comprehensive understanding of nursing assistant principles, practices, and procedures
- Familiarity with state and federal regulations governing CNA training programs
- Knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional techniques
- Awareness of clinical healthcare environments and patient care protocols
- Proficiency in safety standards and infection control measures in healthcare settings
- Effective teaching and instructional skills for diverse learning styles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear and engaging presentations
- Competence in using educational technology, such as learning management systems (LMS), virtual labs, and other instructional tools
- Analytical skills to assess and evaluate student performance accurately
- Time management and organizational skills to balance classroom, lab, and clinical responsibilities
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their academic and professional goals
- Capacity to manage classroom dynamics and address challenges constructively
- Adaptability to update curriculum and teaching methods in response to changing healthcare standards
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, colleagues, and clinical partners
