The Human Resources Assistant (part time) plays a crucial role in supporting the HR department by assisting with training, communications, and general administrative support functions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in human resources while maintaining a flexible, part-time schedule. This is a part-time position limited to 19 hours per week.

Essential Duties

  • Training Support - Provide administrative and logistical support for HR training programs. Coordinate details for training events including preparing presentation materials, reserving rooms, and preparing needed equipment. Collaborate with HR team and other subject matter experts to gather content and ensure accuracy and relevance of training materials. Incorporate multimedia elements such as graphics, videos, and interactive components to enhance learning. Maintain the HR training calendar and communicate training opportunities to employees. Track attendance and maintain training completion records and certification progress. Gather and compile feedback from training participants to assess the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Communications Support - Prepare and distribute campus communications and announcements; Serve as a point of contact for HR inquiries, providing timely and accurate information. Maintain portions of the HR internal SharePoint site.
  • Administrative Support - Support the HR team with projects and initiatives as needed. Perform other administrative tasks to support the HR department as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Salary: $18.00 per hour; up to 19 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Suite Slides

Preferred Qualifications

  • College coursework in Human Resources, Education, Graphic Design, or a related field
  • Previous experience in training support or instructional design
  • Experience with graphic design software
