The Surgical 3B unit has 32 patient beds, with a nurse to patient ratio of 1-6 on days and nights. This unit is a fast-paced medical surgical telemetry floor which focuses on pre- and post-surgical patients, with a focus on GI, Urology and ENT surgeries. The Surgical 3B unit offers the opportunity to learn and perfect critical nursing skills such as: <ul> <li>Head to toe assessments</li> <li>Telemetry monitoring </li> <li>NG tubes</li> <li>IV insertions </li> <li>CBI's </li> <li>Chest tubes, Trach and ostomy care</li> <li>Drains</li> <li>Wound Care</li> </ul> <ul><li> </li></ul> Qualifications: Education: Graduate of a state approved professional nurse program. Licensure: Current RN licensure with Missouri State Board of Nursing or current RN Missouri temporary work permit.
