Location: Fayetteville, AR
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Dependent on merit and productivity: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday. General start and finish time is 7:00 AM-4:00 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking a Property Maintenance Apprentice to oversee and perform all aspects of property upkeep and repair, both indoors and outdoors. This role involves a wide range of handyman responsibilities, including general building maintenance, lawn care, landscaping, and basic repair work to ensure all facilities and grounds are safe, functional, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine indoor maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting repairs.
- Oversee lawn care, landscaping, and outdoor groundskeeping, including mowing, trimming, planting, and snow removal as needed.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on buildings, equipment, and systems.
- Inspect facilities regularly to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Handle basic building upkeep tasks such as cleaning gutters, pressure washing, and minor structural repairs.
- Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs or projects when required.
- Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and perform regular safety checks.
- Provide timely response to maintenance requests from tenants, staff, or management.
- Plan and execute seasonal property needs (e.g., winterization, irrigation, landscaping improvements).
Knowledge and Qualifications Required
- Proven experience in property maintenance, facility management, or handyman services.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and landscaping techniques.
- Ability to operate maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and perform hands-on labor in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel between properties if required.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in residential or commercial property management settings.
- Certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing is a plus but not required.
