Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Dependent on merit and productivity: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, with overtime available. General start and finish time is 4:00 AM – 12:30 PM, but this can be discussed.


Maynard Inc. is seeking a skilled Painter to join our production team. This role is responsible for the preparation, painting, inspection, and quality assurance of aerospace and commercial parts. The ideal candidate will have precision painting skills, a strong understanding of paint preparation techniques, and the ability to work with others in a team-oriented environment. A Painter plays a key role in ensuring the durability, appearance, and integrity of finished products. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to safety, cleanliness, and quality, and be capable of working in a controlled environment with chemicals and paint equipment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Properly prepare surfaces and apply paint using manual spray equipment

  • Accurately mix paints using volume and/or weight measurements

  • Conduct visual inspections and record process parameters such as gloss, color, adhesion, viscosity, thickness, and temperature

  • Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with PPE and respirator use

  • Regulate and monitor drying oven temperatures

  • Recognize and prevent Foreign Object Debris (FOD)

  • Apply masking techniques as required by job specifications

  • Maintain and care for manually controlled paint spray guns

  • Identify and help resolve nonconformities or process deviations

Knowledge and Qualifications Required

  • Ability to read prints and follow detailed instructions

  • Comfortable wearing respirators/masks and working around hazardous chemicals

  • Knowledge of cleaning methods, paint materials, and spray equipment

  • Understanding of how process inputs affect final finish quality

  • Strong attention to detail, with effective communication and teamwork skills

  • Preferred: 1–2 years of experience painting aerospace or industrial products using manual spray equipment; however, candidates with relevant painting experience in other fields are encouraged to apply

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and bend or stoop as needed

  • Indoor environment with seasonal temperature/humidity changes
