Deburr Technician

Location: Fayetteville, AR
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Dependent on merit and productivity: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, with overtime available. General start and finish time is 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, but this can be discussed.

Position Summary
Maynard Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Deburr Technician to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring all machined parts meet the highest standards of fit, form, and finish. The Deburr Technician is responsible for removing burrs, sharp edges, and imperfections from metal components using hand tools, pneumatic equipment, and finishing machinery. This position requires a high level of precision, strong manual dexterity, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment. Candidates should be self-motivated, committed to producing high-quality work, and focused on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and deburr machined parts to meet internal and customer quality specifications
  • Use hand tools, grinders, deburring wheels, sanders, and files to finish components
  • Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to ensure accuracy and conformance
  • Visually inspect parts for surface defects, sharp edges, and irregularities
  • Follow detailed instructions to complete work per established procedures
  • Maintain clean and organized workspaces, perform minor maintenance on tools
  • Collaborate with machine operators, inspectors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow
  • Accurately document work performed and report any discrepancies or issues

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and process specifications
  • Familiarity with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) is preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Strong work ethic, self-initiative, and a desire to learn
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to learn new tools, equipment, and techniques
