Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Dependent on merit and productivity: $18.00 – $22.00+ per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, with overtime available.
Maynard Incorporated in Fayetteville, AR, is looking for a diligent, hard-working, and skilled Painting Prep technician to contribute to the success of a thriving manufacturing business. Our employees must also be teachable to learn the internal processes and systems utilized by our company. As a NADCAP-certified paint shop, quality, attention to detail, and doing it right, every time, is of utmost importance. Responsibilities include preparing components for paint – following written instructions regarding scuffing, masking, cleaning etc. Must follow safety procedures. Must be able to recognize and prevent FOD.
Knowledge and Qualifications Required
- Ability to read manufacturing drawings
- Ability to use measuring instruments accurately and repeatably
- Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Follow customer specifications, requirements and instructions in order to complete work
- Complete log books, routings, and other paperwork for each job
- Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and good housekeeping practices
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to breathe comfortably in a respirator.
- Knowledge of chemical and mechanical cleaning methods is helpful – otherwise will be trained OJT
- Knowledge of proper masking technique is helpful – otherwise will be trained OJT

Work Environment
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Indoors, temperature/humidity varies with seasons
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Exposure to hazardous chemicals – PPE provided by company
- Able to bend/stoop to reach different areas of part for complete coverage
