Pay: Dependent on merit and productivity: $18.00 – $22.00+ per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, with overtime available.
Maynard Incorporated is seeking a diligent, hard-working, and skilled candidate to contribute to the success of our thriving manufacturing company. Our technicians work closely with multiple departments (such as engineering, programming, planning, quality, etc.) to produce high-quality components and assemblies, so communication skills and teamwork are essential. The right candidate will exhibit high retention and the ability to learn internal processes and systems utilized by our company. Our company is always in pursuit of improving methods and processes to deliver parts on-time and under budget. We are searching for a candidate who shares a passion for continual improvement and enjoys the reward of solving difficult problems.
This position is a dynamic, multi-faceted role, in our Assembly Dept., Finish Dept., Machining Dept., Paint Dept., or anywhere workload requires.
Knowledge and Qualifications Required
- Must be self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Communication skills and teamwork for working across departments to achieve a common goal
- Good eyesight (must pass Visual Acuity test)
- Familiar with a variety of tools and materials, including pneumatic riveters, grinders, drills, arbor presses, taps, deburr knives, abrasives, sealants, and adhesives.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and specifications
- Basic math skills with ability to perform calculations required in verification of product
- Ability to identify, diagnose, and correct when problems arise to maximize productivity
- Ability to use measuring instruments accurately and repeatably
- Understanding geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
- Mechanically-minded
- Teachability
- High attention to detail is paramount.
- Ability to identify areas for process improvement and implement processes and procedures to eliminate non-conforming parts and waste.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
