Summary

Job Type: Full-time.

Pay: Dependent on merit and productivity: $18.00 – $28.00+ per hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday, with overtime available. General start and finish time is 6:00 AM-2:30 PM, but this can be discussed.

Maynard Incorporated in Fayetteville, AR is seeking a diligent, skilled, and detail-oriented Manual Machinist to contribute to the success of a thriving manufacturing company. Our Manual Machinists play a critical role in producing high-quality components by operating and maintaining manual machining equipment to meet precise specifications. Responsibilities include setting up and operating lathes, mills, and other manual machines, interpreting blueprints/technical drawings, and ensuring parts meet quality and dimensional requirements. Candidates must perform routine maintenance on equipment, maintain a clean and organized work area, and collaborate with other departments such as engineering and quality to meet production goals. Ideal candidates should have a strong understanding of manual machining principles, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and proficiency in using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers. A commitment to precision, teamwork, and continual improvement is essential. We value machinists who take pride in their craft and strive to deliver high-quality, functional components on time and under budget.

Knowledge and Qualifications Required

  • Ability to perform setups in a timely manner.
  • Ability to read manufacturing drawings
  • Ability to use measuring instruments accurately and repeatably
  • Ability to identify, diagnose, and correct when problems arise to maximize spindle up-time and productivity
  • Proficiency in basic math
  • Mechanically minded
  • Communication skills and teamwork for working across departments to achieve a common goal
  • Teachability
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to identify areas for process improvement and implement processes and procedures to eliminate non-conforming parts and waste.
