Overview
Are you a reimbursement expert who thrives on solving complex challenges, influencing financial outcomes, and driving strategic healthcare initiatives? Join our team as a Senior Reimbursement Specialist and play a critical role in optimizing reimbursement performance across our organization.
In this high-impact position, you'll partner closely with the Director of Reimbursement to analyze reimbursement trends, negotiate managed care contracts, evaluate policy changes, and ensure our organization receives accurate and appropriate reimbursement for services provided. Your expertise will directly contribute to the financial health and operational success of our practices.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintenance of fee schedules and procedure code constants to ensure up-to-date
information for determining allowable amounts and the accuracy of the insurance payment exception
report. - Monitor the insurance payment exception report to identify any problems that should be reported to
the Director of Reimbursement. - Perform analysis of managed care contracts for content and perform impact analysis of proposed
fee schedule changes during contract negotiations. - Work closely with insurance company Provider Representatives to resolve contract conflicts (i.e.,
fee schedule variances, provider network status, denials, etc). - Perform any other related duties as required or assigned
Education and Experience:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create, maintain, and analyze
spreadsheets - Have 5 years related experience and/or training.
- Experience in contracting and fee negotations with payers
