Overview
The LLRT works under general supervision to assist the Lead Radiologic Technologist in performing diagnostic procedures for patients; works effectively with patients and other clinic personnel; assists with processing overread requests; and routes patients and/or their x-ray images to the appropriate PACS worklist. The LLRT will also peform EKGs and assist with putting on holter monitors for the Cardiology Tech and peforming Bone Density exams and Treadmills.
Clinic Hours are 730-530 Mon-Fri. Our clinic has no night, weekend, or holiday hours. This position will average 25-30 hours a week. Wednesdays will be 730-430 working in Bone Density (training will be provided) The rest of the hours will come on 2 potentially rotating days.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic procedures as required; achieve a high level of film quality
- Be observant for film artifacts and keep them to a minimum
- Obtain patient history as needed
- Act as an agent to obtain radiologic information to aid the physician in diagnosis and treatment
- Perform EKGs
- Train in Treadmill Testing
- Train in Holter monitor hookup
- Train in Bone Density
Qualifications:
- State of Arkansas Limited XRay License
- 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training
