Overview

The MRI Technologist works under minimal supervision to assist the Chief Radiological Technologist in performing diagnostic MRI procedures for patients; works effectively with patients and another clinic personnel; assists with PACS and outside films; and routes patients and/or their images to the appropriate nurses' station.

Clinic hours: 7:30a – 8:00p. This PRN position will provide occasional weekend and evening coverage.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic procedures as required: achieve a high level of image quality
  • Be observant for film artifacts and keep them to a minimum
  • Obtain patient history as needed
  • Assist Chief Radiological Technologist during procedures, helping to put the patient at ease

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a certified Radiological Technology Program
  • 2 years related experience and/or training
  • R.R.T. Certification
  • Must set a reasonable goal for achieving MRI certification by the A.R.R.T.
  • CPR certification preferred but not required
