Overview
The patient care assistant/RMA/Scribe will take vital signs, direct patients to proper exam/treatment room, and ensure all medications are up-to date. He/she will also prep patients for examinations and other procedures while assisting Physician as directed. Scribe will document patient encounters in real-time, handling electronic health records (EHR), charting histories, and recording exam findings.
Responsibilities:
- Take vital signs, direct patients to proper exam/treatment room, and ensure all medications are up to date. Prepare patients for examinations and other procedures
- Assist physician with procedures as directed
- Make sure Meaningful Use requirements are addressed and met as appropriately delegated to the check in process
- Review daily schedules to ensure productive clinic flow; monitor charge tickets to reflect updates in insurance, patient demographics, etc.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 0 – 6 months related experience and/or training
