Overview
Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of all reception staff and all associated functions, ensuring all responsibilities are carried out in accordance with agreed procedures, protocols, and time-scales. Responsible for promoting a harmonious and professional atmosphere. This position is a working supervisor position and is responsible for training, interviewing, hiring, the daily supervision and counseling of reception staff. This position reports to the Business Office Manager and the Clinic Director.
This postion will be given six weeks of on-site training at NWA Pediatrics Fayettville location.

Responsibilities
- Monitor the lobby area and be ready to assist if patients or visitors encounter difficulties.
- Receive and process incoming calls for appointments; be able to handle multi-line telephone/extension numbers.
- Have a basic understanding of in network insurance guidelines and medical billing in order to better serve patients.
- Implements and enforces new policies and procedures within the department as directed. Offers continuous orientation, mentoring, training, and evaluations to direct reports, encompassing insurance verification and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, and 7 to 11 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
