Overview
The Registered Medical Assistant position is under the supervision of the physician. The RMA to the Physician is responsible for providing direct or indirect care to patients who present with urgent, emergent, or potential health problems; utilizes knowledge of basic Medical Assistant principals, practices and ethics; participates in the organization and management of the physician's practice.

Responsibilities
- Assist physician in setting up for procedures and exams, patient intake, assisting other members of the care team as needed.
- Ensure that patient chart/EMR entries are made accurately and in a timely manner
- Contact pharmacy to order new and refill prescriptions; notify patient; document appropriately
- Triage patients to ensure productive departmental flow
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training
