Overview

The MRI Technologist works under minimal supervision to assist the Chief Technologist in performing diagnostic MRI procedures for patients, working effectively with patients and another clinic personnel, assisting with PACS and outside films, and routes patients and/or their images to the appropriate nurses' station.

The MRI Technologist position is a dedicated to our Breast MRI Facility only. A candidate with previous breast experience in mammography and/or breast ultrasonography preferred but not required. The MRI Technologist will rotate between MRI Breast facilities in Fayetteville, AR; Bentonville, AR.

Applications are reviewed by the Human Resources Department at the MANA Administrative Office and are shared with the clinic managers. Applications are kept in our database for managers to review for six (6) months. MANA is an equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic procedures as required and achieve a high level of image quality
  • Be observant for artifacts and keep them to a minimum
  • Obtain patient history as needed
  • Perform and assist other technologists during procedures, helping to put the patient at ease
  • Act as agent to obtain pertinent information to aid the physician in diagnosis care and treatment

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a certified Radiological Technology Program
  • 2 years related experience and/or training preferred but not required
  • R.R.T. Certification
  • CPR certification
