Overview

The Registered Nurse provides expert professional nursing care; assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the care rendered to patients with urgent, emergent or potential health problems and navigates the patient through biopsy, diagnosis of breast cancer and on to the referring surgeon.

This RN position is part-time providing compassionate care to patients participating in breast cancer treatments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physician and ensure maximum efficiency, set up for procedures and examinations
  • Record health history of patient; administer medicals as appropriate
  • Ensure patient chart entries are made accurately and in a timely manner
  • Schedule patient visits to other physicians as appropriate
  • Label, document, and assure safe delivery of lab specimens

Qualifications

  • Graduate certificate from accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Management experience preferred, but not required
