Overview

The Registered Medical Assistant position is under the supervision of the office manager. The RMA to the Physician is responsible for providing direct or indirect care to patients who present with acute or chronic foot and/or ankle problems; utilizes knowledge of basic Medical Assistant principals, practices and ethics; participates in the organization and management of the physician's practice. Podiatry is a speciality that focuses on feet and ankle issues, from bunions and ingrown toenails to ankle/foot fractures and breaks.

How to Apply

To apply for a position at any MANA Clinic, you must complete a MANA employment application. Applicants may list the position(s) they are interested in applying on the application and only need to complete one application.

Applications are reviewed by the Human Resources Department at the MANA Administrative Office and are shared with the clinic managers. Applications are kept in our database for managers to review for six (6) months. MANA is an equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physician in setting up for procedures and exams, revising daily schedules; obtaining charts and charge tickets, locating lab tests and X-ray reports
  • Ensure that patient chart/EMR entries are made accurately and in a timely manner
  • Contact pharmacy to order new and refill prescriptions; notify patient; document appropriately
  • Notify hospital or personnel of physician's orders

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 12 – 18 months experience and/or education
