• Design, implement, and launch POS retail solutions at scale with a focus on high Operational Excellence.
• Integrate devices with POS solutions, ensuring seamless communication and high operational performance.
• Work extensively with device APIs and vendors to rapidly integrate and optimize device performance, focusing on reliability, maintainability, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions that accommodate multiple stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals.
What you'll bring:
• Strong expertise in Java, with a deep understanding of core Java concepts, including object-oriented programming, multithreading, and concurrency.
• Proficiency in Java 8, with hands-on experience utilizing its features such as lambda expressions, streams, and the new date/time API to write efficient, maintainable code.
• Demonstrated ability to write tech debt-free, high-quality code that adheres to SOLID principles and clean code practices.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing solutions with high scalability, reliability, maintainability, and optimized for performance.
• Expertise in third-party API integration, including handling authentication, rate limiting, and error handling, ensuring seamless communication with external systems.
• Familiarity with device integration, including working with device drivers, performing firmware upgrades, and ensuring device compatibility and performance within the POS ecosystem.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools to ensure that solutions are robust, reliable, and ready for production deployment.
• Make Operational Excellence a first-class priority from design to implementation and post-launch support. Ensure that solutions are built to scale, with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and performance.
