Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building and managing ETL data pipelines, extracting data from various source systems, performing complex transformations, and loading data into data storage solutions. This role requires a strong background in Azure technologies, data modeling for data lakes, and big data processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain ETL data pipelines to extract data from source systems, perform transformations, and load data efficiently.
• Develop and manage data extraction processes through APIs.
• Utilize Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, and Azure Data Bricks to construct robust data pipelines.
• Architect and develop data models for data lakes to support business needs.
• Implement and optimize big data processing frameworks including Map-Reduce, Spark, and Kafka Connect.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure data integrity and quality.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
• Document data processes, pipeline designs, and data architecture for future reference and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in building ETL data pipelines and performing data transformations.
• Proven experience in extracting data through APIs.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, and Azure Data Bricks.
• Strong understanding of data modeling for data lakes.
• Advanced programming skills in Python.
• Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and implementations.
• Expertise in big data processing technologies such as Map-Reduce, Spark, and Kafka Connect.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in cloud platforms other than Azure (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of additional programming languages and frameworks.
• Certification in Azure or other relevant technologies.
