Position Summary
As an Admissions Representative, you will play a critical role in recruiting and building meaningful relationships with prospective students, guiding them through every step of the admissions process. You will serve as a knowledgeable and enthusiastic ambassador for the university, helping prospective students understand academic offerings, financial aid/payment options and admissions requirements. In addition to daily interactions with prospective students via phone, email and virtual meetings, you will represent John Brown University at college fairs, high school visits, community events, and other recruitment activities—which may require travel, including some evenings and weekends.
This can be a regular staff position or a graduate assistant position.

Position Responsibilities
- Actively recruit students to John Brown University.
- Provide outstanding customer service to all prospective students at every point in the admissions cycle.
- Articulate clearly the nature, features, and benefits of every degree program and specific requirements for completing the admission process.
- Proactively follow-up with prospective students (via phone calls, SMS, e-mail, etc.).
- Advise students on best-fit program options.
- Work toward achieving personal and team performance metrics (i.e. for customer service, communication outreach, application targets, etc.).
- Attend recruitment trips or events as needed.
- Record information accurately in the CRM (we use Slate by Technolutions).
- Complete initial stages of file review and application processing.
- Assist with on-campus events, including, but not limited to, semi-annual graduation ceremonies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Graduate and Online Enrollment.

Education
Bachelor’s degree required
Physical demands and work environment
- Physical demands: Occasionally required to walk; stand; sit; use hands; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work environment: The work space is an open office environment. The noise level is moderate.
