Job Summary:

Under general direction, this position is responsible for carrying out and overseeing the day-to-day delivery of Physical Wellness programs and services aligned to their specific functional area (e.g., core benefits, disability, life, special benefits case management and special projects). The incumbent collaborates with HR Business Partners and HR Operations to respond to business and/or employee needs. The incumbent will also be a subject matter expert with the ability to make time-sensitive decisions, manage multiple competing priorities, and teach or train others.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage various employee wellness and/or benefits programs, such as group life, medical, dental, disability, EAP, pensions
  • Ensure benefits policies and procedures are properly administered and delivered in a fair and consistent manner
  • Ensure benefits administration actions are completed accurately and on time, e.g., claims resolution, change reporting, invoice for payments
  • Ensure all benefits programs and activities comply with related federal and state rules and regulations, e.g., Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
  • Approve benefit eligibility for employees
  • Implement new or enhanced benefits programs (e.g., medical, dental, vision, disability insurance, life insurance, retirement, and employee assistance, recognition programs)
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Expertise and HR Operations to ensure that human resources core services are delivered effectively and efficiently
  • Oversee the collection and overall accuracy of benefits data located within the HRIS
  • Audit data that is transferred between the organization and benefits vendors; ensuring accurate benefit reporting
  • Manage benefit and wellness vendors including periodic performance reporting; communicate with benefits vendors to ensure employee requests, inquiries and problems are resolved in a timely manner
  • Handle and resolve escalated issues raised by junior staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business/Business Management, or related field, with 5 or more years combination of Benefits Administration-related education, experience and training
  • OR 9 years of combined relevant education, experience and training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business/Business Management, Communications, or a related field of study, with 5-7 years of Benefits Administration-related experience, education, and training.
  • Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment

Compensation:

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
