Job Summary:

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for utilizing problem solving and connectivity technologies to deliver engineering solutions through projects in various areas of the organization.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply knowledge of the organization to make improvements to existing processes or solutions
• Utilize API and EDI connectivity technologies to facilitate automation and data transfer between J.B. Hunt and various external partners
• Partner with Pricing, Sales, and Operations teams to develop and implement digital connectivity solutions that accelerate growth and create meaningful customer value
• Collaborate with customers to identify connectivity needs and prioritize cross-functional requests to drive maximum value for J.B. Hunt and our customers
• Solve problems related to process improvement by analyzing internal and external data, including, but not limited to operations, pricing, financial, and customer information
• Analyze a variety of data and processes to reduce costs and increase business productivity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement solutions

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Management, or related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, experience, and training with 1 year of experience in Industrial Engineering or related field
• AND Demonstration of the following
• Experience in data visualization software, statistics, operations research, linear programming, forecasting, predictive modeling, relational databases, and/or SQL

Compensation:

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
