Join our team as an Intake Coordinator at a reputable medical office dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. As an integral part of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient intake processes, maintaining accurate records, and delivering outstanding customer service to patients.

Job Title: Intake Coordinator

Reports To: New Patient Intake Supervisor & Director

Location: Northwest Arkansas – Depending on the position, employees may be asked to move locations from time to time based on clinic and patient needs.

FLSA: Non-exempt/hourly

Job Summary: The Intake Coordinator is responsible for the initial intake and registration of all new patient referrals for Hematology and Oncology.

Job Duties / Responsibilities:

· Manage New patient Department Fax Server by reviewing and triaging all faxes to appropriate staff members, in a timely manner.

· Review and triage internal referrals by managing “Group Inbox” in EMR.

· Register all new patients into Centricity to create Medical Records Number.

· Upload all new patient referrals to Scheduling Dashboard

· Confirm demographic and insurance information upon receipt of referral.

· Help answer telephone, screen, and triage calls to appropriate staff member.

· Help manage Canopy dashboard for coming patient calls.

· Return patient phone calls ASAP, but within 24 hours.

· Attend daily team huddles.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Speak clearly, and with a friendly and professional tone.

· Must possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

· High attention to detail is a MUST.

· Excellent people skills including, but not limited to adaptability, assertiveness, problem solving and teamwork.

· Maintains high standard of professional performance, behavior, and appearance.

· Proficient in use of EMR (electronic medical record)

· Ability to perform basic functions in Excel.

· Typing skills

Certifications/Licenses/Education/or Experience in a related field:
Clinical scheduling experience preferred, or intake/registration experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· Lifting up to 25 pounds.

· Sitting or standing for long periods of time, while at a computer workstation

Light moderate walking within clinic as needed
