We’re seeking a Mechanical Engineer II who’s ready to take the next step in their career by leading projects, owning client relationships, and mentoring the next generation of engineers — all while building smarter, more sustainable systems for the industrial and logistics sector. This role can be remote within the continental U.S.
What You’ll Do
Lead Industrial & Logistics Projects: Manage small to mid-sized facility designs or portions of large programs, including warehouse, fulfillment and manufacturing buildings.
- Own the Design: Take full technical ownership of HVAC and plumbing systems design — from early schematic development to final construction documents and though construction administration — with a focus on practical, code-compliant, and cost-effective solutions.
- Guide Clients: Serve as the point of contact for clients and external partners, building long-term relationships through clear communication, technical expertise, and reliable project delivery.
- Develop the Team: Mentor junior engineers and designers by reviewing their work, sharing knowledge, and helping them grow in both technical and professional areas.
- Drive Collaboration: Work closely with an integrated team of in-house architects, structural and electrical engineers, and internal team leads to ensure fully coordinated project delivery.
- Ensure Quality: Conduct in-depth quality reviews of your work and others’ to uphold firm and industry standards.
- Stay Hands-On: Use AutoCAD, Revit, and Trane Trace (or similar tools) to support HVAC and plumbing design, energy modeling, and documentation.
- Support Construction: Respond to RFIs, review submittals, and participate in construction administration for your projects.
- Track Project Success: Help establish project budgets and timelines, with an eye toward quality, client satisfaction, and financial performance.
