Civil Engineer I
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Engineer has the ability to lead a small client/client team (1-2 staff), small projects, or portions of a large project utilizing their experience and education.
- Engineer should have a basic understanding of simple drainage systems, sanitary and domestic water systems, and standard design practices for each.
- Engineer will work with Civil Design Lead to communicate with client, deliver completed construction documents, and assist in construction administration as required for most project types.
- Engineer should be able to apply their knowledge gained through experience and knowledge of recognized national standards to design simple projects, with minimal oversight from Civil Design Team Lead. Engineer should have a good understanding of software assisting programs, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, and be able to apply throughout the design process.
- Designer should be able to design and draft domestic water and sewer systems.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
- Engineer should be good in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Engineer should be able to train employees on company standards, drafting techniques, and technical questions.
- Engineer will work in a collaborative environment with Architects and other Engineers to develop construction documents based on a clients' requirements, including some basic project management and construction administration functions.
- Engineer will be able to perform quality control of their projects and others, for final review by Engineer of Record.
- Engineer could have direct client contact.
- Engineer will work with Civil Design Lead to establish project budgets, if requested, and be able to work within budgets. Engineer will also work with Civil Design Lead to ensure projects are financially successful, unless in a strictly technical role for the company.
- Engineer should be able to edit specifications on small to medium projects.

Management Requirements: 0-3 staff
Education Requirements: BSCE from an Abet Accredited Engineering Program
Licensure Requirements: Licensed Professional Engineer
